1. What can a Louisiana Notary do?

• Louisiana Notaries have broader authority than notaries in many other states. In addition to notarizing signatures, a Louisiana Notary may prepare certain legal documents, handle affidavits, create powers of attorney, draft bills of sale, and assist with certain real estate paperwork. 

2. What should I bring to my notary appointment?

   • Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID, your documents, and any required witnesses. It is always best to wait to sign your documents at your appointment. 

3. Do I need witnesses?

   • It depends on the document. Certain Louisiana documents may require witnesses in addition to notarization. If you’re not sure, contact me before your appointment so we can determine what you’ll need to bring. 

4. How do mobile services work?

   • Being a mobile notary means I do not have an office space. Maddie's On The Geaux travels to you or a convenient location. Whether that's your home, a business, office, local coffee shop, or Walmart parking lot.

5. What areas do you serve?

   • I’m located in Jennings, Louisiana, and provide notary services throughout the surrounding area, including Jefferson Davis, Calcasieu, Acadia, and Lafayette Parishes. Contact me to confirm mobile service availability for your specific location. 

6. How do I schedule an appointment?

   • Simply contact me to schedule an appointment. Let me know what type of document you need assistance with, your location, and when you’d like to meet. I can also let you know what identification, witnesses, or other information you should have ready. 

7. How much do Notary services cost?

   • Pricing varies depending on the type of document and service needed. Each document carries a different level of legal significance and may require a different amount of preparation, review, and time to complete properly. Because of this, pricing is determined based on the specific document and your individual needs.
